We left Wellington bright and early and had a pretty easy ferry crossing. There was a bumpy half hour in the middle and it left me, as ever, in awe of those who choose to swim across.

We did very little with our afternoon in Picton and are now tucked up in bed repacked and ready for Queen Charlotte Track which starts tomorrow at 8. There is apparently very little internet access on the trail so do not be surprised if you hear little from me for the next 5 days.
