We had a lovely 24 hours, early flight from Nelson to Wellington and the a drive to Whanganui.

The weather stayed fine so all the washing got done and dried. We took in a lot of the Whanganui Open Studios (and didn’t buy too much). We sat on the deck and shared a few beers.

One monarch butterfly had hatched and was enjoying the swan plant. It needed a bit of coaxing for its photograph.
